Hello, I’m Alex.

​

As a qualified nutritionist, yogi, wellness speaker and women’s menopause lifestyle mentor, I have come to realise that there’s no one silver bullet to fix us or improve our health.  We have to start somewhere and get curious about what works and what doesn’t.   We have to take a long-term, holistic approach to our well-being. And that is how I am interested in helping you.

The Hormonal Maze: Peri to Post Menopause

 

I went through Peri to Post menopause on the early side.  By 45 I was all done. I began to feel different in my early 40s and it took a few years of testing, weight, mood and libido changes to discover what was going on.  Because I was studying health, I knew I had to dig deeper and take responsibility for my care management. I began to create a team of complementary health carers to help guide me through this process and I believe it is because of the rigorous testing, nutrition, supplement and lifestyle advice, that I have got through to the “other side” in good shape.  That’s not to say I haven’t had a few “Hormados” along the way though!

 

Through my experience of menopause, I now understand how important it is to keep my hormones balanced.  The fact is, we have a mismatch between modern lifestyle and the female body.  Our bodies were not designed to live in this world of high pace, stress, multi-tasking, blue light, fast food…and list goes on.  I see so many women who are going through that same journey but don't know where to start or how to manage their symptoms. Practical, simple education and awareness is still not available to women in their communities.  In practice, I’ve found that women are not being heard by their health carers, they feel overwhelmed and unhappy with the mainstream offerings to manage signs and symptoms.  

 

You don't have to “suck it up” or be satisfied with “This is just how it is for women your age”.  How you feel is real and legitimate and there's science to back it!

Nutrition, Yoga, Lifestyle Modification – Guiding Principles

for every body

 

Over the last 9 years I’ve personally invested my time and energy in various modalities and protocols but realised there were a few pieces missing - spirituality, personal development and daily practices. Yoga and meditation have helped me to manage the daily shuffle of life so much.  I realised it was the key to be able to deliver a holistic solution for women.  This has been a gamechanger!

 

I believe women and men need to be incorporating daily basic lifestyle practises before trying to tweak or "bio-hack" our body.  If we don't have the basics in place, how we can expect our bodies to respond to specific treatments?  They are essential for helping calm down our Nervous System and to help us thrive.
